July 17th, 2009 | by |THE approach is eerie. Fire swept through the valley beneath Falls Creek ski resort in 2006, turning a forest of mountain ash into vast hectares of 30m-high ghostly grey sticks that look like a cross between a haunted sacred site and an abstract art installation.
